For KAIST, it is imperative to recognize the effort and dedication that its students make during the academic semester. As an inclusive institution, KAIST College of Business rewards international and Korean students with Academic Excellence Awards. The event was held on September 20th, 2017 and was characterized by poignant speeches, photo sessions, and a delightful lunch.

We are pleased that two international students from Finance MBA were selected as recipients this semester, Juan Robalino (FMBA 2016) and James Amoah (FMBA 2016)

“Studying at KAIST College of Business is very challenging as the curriculum is designed to strengthen my analytical abilities based on mathematics, statistics and up-to-date financial strategy. However, it is also rewarding as the curriculum has empowered me to analyze, decide and act when faced with various finance issues. I have also got to meet and share experiences with several of my amazing and brilliant colleagues from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.
The half-semester system meant that my knowledge and skills had to be tested through thought-provoking exams, research papers, case analysis and presentations (individual and group) in 8 weeks. I had to meet these challenges with hard work, discipline, and dedication.
It was therefore very rewarding and fulfilling when KCB recognized by efforts with the high honor academic award last semester. It has encouraged me to work harder going forward. I would like to convey my most sincere gratitude to the Professors for imparting new knowledge and skills as well as instilling confidence in me.”
