Title: The Present and the Future

Seoul Asan Medical Center and KAIST invited the president of Karolinska Institutet, Harriet Wallberg-Henriksson, for a special lecture to commemorate the opening of the KAIST-ASAN Executive Medical Management Program. Her lecture, The Present and the Future, took place on February 27th.








The president of Karolinska Institutet expressed her interest in building a cooperative academic-medical center. She was invited to give her lecture by KAIST Business School. Karolinska Medical Institutet is recognized around the world for hosting the College of the Nobel Medical Assembly.


In the opening ceremony for the Asan-KAIST Medical Management Program, which was held at KAIST Business School on 27th of Feb, President Henriksson spoke about present and future directions, and the director of Asan Medical Center, Seong-Ouk Park, delivered a lecture on the Past, Present, Future.








He announced that Seoul AMC has been conducting globally standardized medical treatment, education, and research through continued innovation for past 20 years, and has achieved superior management performance with global medical competitiveness. He also said that Seoul AMC will be a leader in realizing social responsibility by fostering medical industry leaders to shape the future.








KAIST Business School because involved in this professional medical management program with Asan Medical Center, because of its management education know-how in Korea. The purpose is to develop and nurture global leaders in medical management. Registration will end the 14th of March.








In the executive program, faculty members include the Vice Director of Planning & Mediation of Seoul Asan Medical Center, Jun-Pyo Hong, and well-known KAIST faculty members including Professors Young-Bae Kim, Zong-Tae Bae, and Yeo-Seon Yoon. Moreover, Professor Mi-Kyung Kim of Seoul National University, the Director of R&D in YUHAN, and the Director of Insurance Policy from the Bureau of Health and Welfare will be invited as guest speakers.
