Special lecture by Volkswagen Financial Services Korea2014-02-03Hit:5030

Volkswagen Financial Services Korea held a special lecture for 500 KAIST MBA students on Tuesday. Oliver Schmitt, head of Asia-Pacific Volkswagen Financial Services, gave a lecture entitled ‘New Strategy for the International Market Entrance.’ This lecture showed the preparation process of Volkswagen Financial Services Korea in 2010 and introduced decision-making models used for entrance into a new market. The vivid story on the industry, the relaxed atmosphere and the meaningful Q and A session ensured a good response from students.


Oliver Schmitt explained that “Volkswagen Financial Services pursues a diverse and flexible co-existence strategy, suitable for regional situations and for change in the future, to be the key to mobility.” He also announced that Volkswagen Financial Services Korea would operate an internship program for KAIST MBA students. The program will offer field-trip experiences for selected students to help them develop a business mind suitable for the global age.


Frank Czarnetzki, Managing Director (President) at Volkswagen Financial Services, said, “In order to obtain sustainable development and growth, firms should fulfill their responsibilities as members of the society as well as build a sound business environment. With this lecture as momentum, Volkswagen Financial Services Korea will try not only to spread an advanced automobile culture but also to perform its social role and duty contributing to local development in the long-term.”


Volkswagen Financial Services Korea is 100% subsidiary company of Volkswagen Financial Services AG. It was established in Korea in July 2010 and it offers a variety of auto financial services to customers who purchase Audi, Bentley and Volkswagen automobiles. Volkswagen Financial Services Korea is growing rapidly in the Korean auto financial service market. It has had about 30,000 customers in two years.
