KAIST Graduate School of Finance (KGSF) started in March 2006 as the only finance educational institute to be affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Korea. The KAIST Business School is well known for its financial engineering program from which KGSF is originated.

The synergy achieved by the collaboration has enabled KGSF to create strategically customized financial programs that have drawn much attention from the financial industry. For example, numerous companies including Reuters Korea, the Macquarie Group, and Korea Development Bank have decided to work with KGSF and have agreed to make huge investments to produce competent and practical financial experts.

Overseas studies and workshop courses are what KGSF is proud of. From these opportunities, students have developed international financial business perspectives. In addition, KGSF offers dual-degree with the University of Rochester (William G. Simon Graduate School of Management), City University London (CASS School), and Michigan State University (Eli Broad School of Business) where students can obtain degrees from globally renowned universities in addition to KAIST within two years.
