While learning outcomes and assessment processes have always been used in the KCB Administration, our Assessment of Student Achievement Program was newly initiated to focus specifically on direct measures of learning outcomes as instructed by AACSB new standards on AoL(Assurance of Learning). Our purposes are to determine how well our students are achieving desired learning outcomes and then use the resulting data to improve our academic programs. The assessment literature identifies five key activities necessary for an effective assurance of learning program.

Flexibility (Customized Curriculum)

  • Flexible Curriculum - customization with strong core management capability
  • Self-design concentration system - helping the students develop their own curriculum that fully capitalizes on their own unique academic as well as job experience

Faculty Mentorship

  • Senior faculty members are appointed as mentors for MBA students to help students adapt to the new academic environment and plan for their career goals
  • Mentor Lecture Series

Faculty Advisor

An advisor is chosen during second semester and advises on students' curriculum design

Customized Concentration System (Design by Yourself)

  • Students design curriculum for their specific concentration by themselves under supervision of their advising professor
  • A certificate will be given upon successful completion of the approved concentration curriculum
