Invitation to the EEWS2008 Workshop 2008-08-07Hit:2217

EEWS Initiative and KAIST Institutes cordially invite you to the First International Workshop on EEWS ever, whose theme is the “Energy, Environment, Water and Sustainability: Challenge as Opportunity”. In this workshop, we aim to identify the current status and challenges, and extend the imagination toward the future based on the research findings and plans at MIT, Caltech, National New Growth Engine Projects, Projects by KAIST Institutes, Projects by KAIST EEWS Initiative, Projects by Korean National Research Institutes, and Industrial Projects by leading companies such as SK Energy, GS Caltex, and Samsung. This year, we particularly envision the future of technologies on hydrogen energy, solar energy, fuel cell, CO2 sequestration, gas hydrate, sustainability, biological recovery of environment and water. This workshop will be a very fruitful congregation in identifying the current status of art and establishing warm fellowship with leading researchers on EEWS worldwide. We offer our faculties 50% discount rate of the registration fee, 100,000 won (pre-registration fee is 90,000 won). For our students, registration fee is 50,000 won (pre-registration fee is 45,000 won). If any students can’t afford this registration fee, please inform us with the supervising professor’s recommendation (or department head).
