KAIST announced that ‘The Korea Society of Management Information Systems (KMIS)’ have established ‘Bright ICT Lee Jae-kyu Award’.
The award was established to honor Prof. Lee’s academic achievements. The award is aimed for researchers who endeavored to achieve “Bright Internet’, preventing the root of online crime and terror.
Prof. Lee was appointed as the chair of AIS as the first Korean last September. In his inaugural address he proposed “Bright Internet’ as the official vision. KMIS will select nominees for the award from 2016 by public contest and recommendation. Furthermore, Prof. Lee donated one hundred million won to KMIS.
