KAIST Holds Climate Energy Conference Coming 30th

Global climate and energy experts will gather at the conference to discuss future challenges.

It was announced on the 21st that KAIST Graduate School of Green Growth and Our Future Corporation will hold the 3rd Seoul Climate-Energy Conference on coming 30th at Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul.

The Climate Energy Conference is the site, in which the industry leaders from government and academia gather together to explore the future trends and direction of the climate and energy industry. 


The main theme of this year’s conference is “Marrakech Conference and New Climate Regime in 2020”, and there will be discussion about Green Industrial Revolution and energy strategy for the launch of new climate system in 2020.

 

The UN Secretary General Ki-Moon Ban, former prime minster Hwan-Sik Kim and Young-Pyo Hwang, the chairman of the Environment and Labor Committee of the National Assembly, will deliver their congratulatory speech and Kyung-Kyu Cho, the Minister of Environment, will deliver his keynote speech; furthermore, Hwan-Ik Cho, the president of KEPCO, will deliver a luncheon speech.

 

The conference will be divided into four sessions, which will be on countermeasures against Marrakesh COP22 and Trump, energy conversion strategy, international carbon market and global collaboration on green growth. 25 leading experts in the field of climate-energy will attend the conference.
