KAIST College of Business, Graduate School of Green Growth, opens photovoltaic ‘eco-friendly lecture room’2017-02-20Hit:1429

The Graduate School of Green Growth at KAIST College of Business held an opening on January 24th 2017 for ‘eco-friendly lecture room’ that applies a photovoltaic power generation facility. This eco-friendly lecture room was implemented as part of the KAIST Green Campus to reduce carbon emissions and realize a carbon zero classroom.
The Graduate School of Green Growth at KAIST College of Business plans to
annually produce 24,834 kWh of electricity through the photovoltaic power
generation system installed on the roof of the building, and annually provide
17,118 kWh of electricity to the eco-friendly lecture room (room 9303) located
in Building No. 9, and utilize the remaining electricity of 7716 kWh for
building No. 9.
Kim, Tong-suk, the Dean of KAIST College of Business, said, at
the welcome speech, “In accordance with our educational philosophy and goals, our
school, which has a specialized curriculum in the field of green management,
has been carrying out various activities such as holding the Seoul
Climate-Energy Conference and joining the Green Growth Knowledge Platform. I am
glad that we are once again contributing to green growth by opening the green classroom.”
