KCB signs MOU with the Global Green Growth Institute2017-06-16Hit:707

KAIST College of Business signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) on the 24th and announced the news on the 25th


The agreement was designed for both organizations to jointly conduct research on basic theories of green growth along with practical solutions, and to disseminate knowledge of green growth through workshops.


Many related officials, including Frank Rijsberman, the General Secretary of the Global Green Growth Research Institute (GGGI), and Professor Kwangwoo Park, the Dean of the Graduate School of Green Growth, attended the ceremony held at GGGI Headquarters. The two institutions will cooperate with each other by running faculty and expert exchanges and student internship programs in the future.


Park, Kwangwoo, the Dean of the Graduate School of Green Growth, said, "We will cooperate with each other to exchange information, human resources, and resources for climate change responses so that both institutions can play a central role in creating and sharing knowledge."


In addition, Frank Rijsberman said, “We are expecting both organizations to build a solid partnership base through the MOU that we have signed today. We will share green growth knowledge and best practices, promote joint research activities, hold joint conferences and workshops together. I expect that we will be able to achieve such synergies.”


Meanwhile, GGGI has presented a methodology for green growth in developing countries and is promoting international cooperation. Currently, it has 27 member countries including Korea, Denmark, Australia, and the United Kingdom.
