Ssangyong Motors announced on the 17th that the company invited Indian business graduate students to the Pyeongtaek factory to establish industrial ties between Korea and India.

About 70 students from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) visited the factory in Pyeongtaek, on the 16th, to look around the production line and have a meeting with the management team.

IIMB is a prestigious graduate school of business and it is one of India's two elite academic societies along with the Indian Institute of Technology. From the 13th, 70 students visited Korea as part of the Doing Business in Korea: IIMB-EPGP Program, an international program with KAIST College of Business.

Students who have more than 10 years of working experience in India's famous companies visited the Pyeongtaek plant to directly check the technology of the Korean automobile industry and share opinions on the future of the automobile industry.

In particular, Ssangyong Motors and India Mahindra Group signed an M&A agreement in 2011 and they are continuing their successful partnership. As a result, they are good examples of economic exchange and industrial cooperation between Korea and India for the future.

A Ssangyong representative said, "We plan to explore various ways to help the Korean automobile industry in general and contribute to industrial development."
