Guide of the Period for 2020 Summer Semester Course Withdrawal and Application for Reimbursement 2020-07-02Hit:50

1. Withdrawal Period : Students are not allowed to withdraw from courses after the respectively given period.

* 1st Period (Week 1-7, Week 1-3 classes) : 2020. 7. 9(Thu) 12:30 ~ 2020. 7. 17(Fri) 23:59

* 2nd Period (Week 4-7 classes) : 2020. 7. 30(Thu) 12:30 ~ 2020. 8. 7(Fri) 23:59

 

1) Procedure : Log on to Portal(http://portal.kaist.ac.kr), click Academic System on Hot Menu ⇒ Drop courses (not available on mobile equipment)

 

※ course withdrawal requiring approval by advisor and head of department :

- Apply for withdrawal at ‘Course registration(exception)’ menu.

(‘Course registration(exception)’ menu will be closed two days before the course withdrawal period ends.)

- Applications that remain unapproved until two days before the course withdrawal period ends will be automatically cancelled and not allowed to cancel the course.

2) Note : The grade of a withdrawn course is not included in students' grade point average; students are given a "W" (withdrawal) on their transcripts.

※ Should students take the withdrawn courses in the future, "W" grades on their transcripts will be deleted.

 

2. The period to apply for reimbursement

* 1st Period (Week 1-7, Week 1-3 classes) : 2020. 07. 15(Wed) 12:30 ~ 2020. 07. 17(Fri) 18:00

* 2nd Period (Week 4-7 classes) : 2020. 08. 05(Wed) 12:30 ~ 2020. 08. 07(Fri) 18:00

 

1) Eligibility : If a student has canceled all or a part of the Summer course after paying all the tuition fee.

 

2) How to apply for reimbursement : Log-on to Portal(https://portal.kaist.ac.kr) ⇒ Access ’Academic System’ ⇒ Tuition/Scholarship ⇒ Student Service ⇒ Apply for reimbursement(summer/winter) ⇒ Please attach your bank book

※ Must put in student’s account number and attach a copy of one’s bankbook.

※ Due date of reimbursement : Within 14days from application date.
