[MBA Special] KAIST’s Seven Special MBA Programs

KAIST Business School is accredited by the most authoritative world institutions including the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) and the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).

Last year, KAIST College of Business was ranked 99th in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2011 for the first time among Korean MBA programs.

Especially, in the area of exposure to International Experience which can be measured by overseas field trips and student exchange program participation, KAIST MBA ranked 6^th. KAIST College of Business also ranked 17th in career support satisfaction. This year, the Financial Times (FT) announced that KAIST College of Business is the Number 1 business school in Asia, and 28th in the world in the "2012 Executive Education Business School Ranking."

Founded in 1995, KAIST MBA is recognized as the largest full-time MBA program with a time-honored history in Korea. According to industries, job levels, and time, KAIST MBA can be divided into 7 programs. Students become professionals after graduating from KAIST MBA.

KAIST College of Business provides General MBA programs (Techno-MBA, IMBA, and Executive MBA) and specialized MBAs (Finance MBA and Information Media MBA). In addition, it will also open the Professional MBA program (PMBA), which is a part-time program, and the Social Entrepreneurship MBA (SE-MBA) in cooperation with the SK Group.

One of the KAIST MBA’s strong points is its dual degree programs in collaboration with World Top MBAs in the fields of Accounting, Law, Finance, and Media. KAIST College of Business offers dual degree programs with the University of Rochester, Michigan State University, and City University London for Finance; with University of Illinois at Urbana Champagne for Accounting; with Northwestern University for law, with University of Southern California for media; and with University of Arizona for IT. In particular, IE Business School in Spain and KAIST work together in seven areas including Management, Finance, Law, and International Relations.

All KAIST MBA courses offer suitable study abroad programs and the student exchange program with more than 50 partner universities around the world. Naturally, students participate in the education abroad program at least once before graduation.

According to an analysis of KAIST MBA graduates, as of June 2012, executive-level alumni number about 270, which is about 9 percent of the total graduates.
