KAIST and Korea Financial Investment Association open a program for financial engineering2013-04-22Hit:4861

KAIST, in cooperation with Korea Institute of Financial Investment (KIFI) of Korea Financial Investment Association (KFIA), launches the 6th ‘KAIST-KFIA Financial Engineering Professional Course’ starting from May 13 for three months, and accept students by 17th of this month.

The program has been offered for the past six years and supported by KAIST which is the best institute in the area of financial engineering. KAIST faculty and field-work veterans provide lectures and on-site practice-based education to foster professionals in financial engineering at the international level. Graduates of the program will be treated as the KAIST alumni and get permission to share information and networks of KAIST.

The program will be held on weeknights (twice a week) at the building of Korea Institute of Financial Investment in Yeoido, about the subjects such as financial statistics, financial mathematics, financial programming, strategies of financial derivative trading, risk management, and so on. The program also provides some learning activities to maximize the practice-applicable ability, in particular, related to designing, developing, and hedging financial derivatives.

The Korea Institute of Financial Investment (KIFI) offers a discount on tuition fee if a student completes the registration process early or more than three people in the same firm apply for the program together. For detail application guidelines, you can visit the KIFI homepage (www.kifin.or.kr).
