2021 Spring Semester Course Add/Drop Period 2021-04-15Hit:618

1. During course Change(add/drop) period

   [week 9-16 courses]: from 09:30 (week 9-16): April 26.(Mon.) 09:30 ~ May 3.(Mon.) 23:59 


2. During course Drop period

   [week 9-16 courses]: from 12:30 (week 9-16): May. 4.(Tues.) 12:30 ~ May. 10.(Mon.) 23:59


3. How to : Log on to Portal( http://portal.kaist.ac.kr) ⇒ Academic System ⇒  Class Enrolment
  A. Course Registration menu : Click Delete to withdraw courses 
  B. Course Registration(Exceptions) menu :
      1) Select Course Code/ Course No/ Course Title etc. and click to search courses to withdraw
      2) Application Type : Select Course Withdrawal Registration
      3) Application Reason : Select from AP Cancel / Cancel of graduating semester / Other Cancel
      4) Other Information : Fill in additional information if necessary
      5) Click Confirm Request

4. Matters to be attended to 
  A. After Course Add/Drop Period, students cannot register for courses.
      The grade of a withdrawn course is not included in students' grade point average; students are given a "W" (withdrawal) on their transcripts.
  ※ Should students retake the “W” given courses, "W" grades on their transcripts will be deleted.
  B. The number of credits graduate students can take each semester is over 9 credits (full-time students), over 1 credits (part-time students). 
     However, students can register the maximum 18 credits(full-time students), 12 credits(part-time students) with an approval of their academic advisor and the head of their department.
     (with confirmation(signature) of advisor and the head of the department on the application form)
 C. Please refer to the regulation that students who does not apply courses will be expelled.
    (School regulation Article 34, Clause 4) and who register under ‘minimum credits per semester(graduate(full-time) 9, graduate(part-time) 1)’ will get academic warning.(School regulation Article 71, Article 86 Clause 1)
