KCB tasks itself with globalizing its curriculum and preparing its students as leaders both academically and practically. An essential part of this effort is language proficiency.
The Language Center recognized that a critical importance of language and is constantly expanding the languages that are taught and improving the curriculum that is used, and the assessment tools that we benchmark.
An essential component of a viable language program is the ability to accurately assess each student’s proficiency through a recognized global standard, and to provide appropriate information and advice on how to improve based on a benchmark provided through that global standard.
The Language Center offers a series of language proficiency programs in English, Chinese and Korean.
Recognizing the critical importance of language proficiency in a globalized society, we put emphasis on globalizing its curriculum in preparing our students as global leaders. English, Chinese, and Korean for foreigners are offered as a series of language proficiency program. To offer these programs, we assess each student’s proficiency level through a recognized global standard namely the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI).
The OPI test is a necessary step for students to go overseas on exchange programs or to fulfill their graduation requirements. Students can make appointments to take the interview from the KAIST portal system after login. For more information regarding language courses or OPI testing, please contact email@example.com
