KAIST College of Business and the CFA institute conclude a partnership agreement







On June 12th KAIST Business School and the CFA (International Chartered Financial Analyst Institute) agreed to conclude a partnership agreement on students’ CFA exam preparation and career development. According to the partnership with the CFA Institute, KAIST Business School plans to contribute to the cultivation of globally competent students and offer practical help for students. Under the agreement, KAIST Business School students will receive various services such as the CFA curriculum provided by the CFA Institute.




KAIST Business School finance MBA program provides courses which cover over 70% of the CFA exam curriculum. KAIST Students who are preparing for an exam can receive scholarships, CFA institute magazines, webcasts, other educational materials and online practice tests. Especially, a variety of benefits are offered to five outstanding KAIST students: a CFA fee waiver, Level I exam fee discounts and discounts on other exam preparation materials




Byung-tae Lee, Dean of KAIST Business School, said, “After the Financial Crisis, the CFA has become more important since CFA requires the ability to analyze comprehensive investment information such as a company’s financial condition and stock price. Under the agreement, we can help students who want to become investment professionals or key personnel necessary for working in financial institutions such as asset management and the securities.”




The CFA Institute has a partnership with approximately 143 organizations worldwide. Ashvin Vibhaker, Director of the Asia Pacific Office, also promised that he will support Korean students so that they can become global financial professionals.”
