KAIST Business School started to offer various financial programs in 1996, and nearly 1,200 graduates are currently working in the major Korean and global financial institutions. KAIST Graduate School of Finance (KGSF) was established in March 2006 as the only finance educational institute to be affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Korea. KGSF has been also leading internalization through specialized programs. KGSF has begun to select international students since 2006. In the fall of 2010, KGSF launched Green Finance MBA which has a role in connecting finance and green growth with international students from emerging countries completed that program. In the fall of 2012, KGSF started to run KOICA-KAIST Scholarship, which is granted to government officials from emerging economies with responsibility to develop competitiveness of their financial industries and economies. Now KGSF has 110 international graduates and 20 current students to be expected to build up a global network.
