The Academic Awards Ceremony for Fall 2015 Semester was held at Atrium on September 21, 2015. In addition to the ceremony, the Dean’s Luncheon followed with the recipients, faculty members and staff members in attendance. Each semester KAIST College of Business hosts this event to reward the students demonstrating outstanding academic achievement from the respective departments.

We are pleased that two international students from Finance MBA were selected as recipients this semester:
- Highest Honor Evgeny Ten (Russia)
- High Honor Kyi Kyi Wai (Myanmar)

Evgeny Ten briefly stated his feelings about winning this award; "Receiving the highest honor award was a total surprise for me. When my colleagues from the FMBA program started to congratulate me, I did not know what the reason was, since I was not aware of such an award for academic achievement. It was a great honor for me to be recognized by the dean during the ceremony, and it is much more a pleasure for me to continue studying at the best Korean business school, KAIST College of Business."

And Kyi Kyi Wai expressed her sincere appreciation and thanked everyone for the chance to join the Finance MBA. She also said, “We all know that a KAIST student life is not easy. But I am trying to enjoy this life and study hard to succeed at the KAIST College of Business. During the span of our program, sometimes I have had very hard moments and faced many challenges while studying to gain new knowledge in finance. But I never gave up and tried hard to overcome. I am still working hard until the completion of the program. I believe that the acquired knowledge will improve my performance in implementing my country’s banking sector development.Finally, I express my profound thanks again to the professors, management team and staff members of the KAIST and KOICA for their hospitality and excellent teaching arrangements provided to us since our arrival and for the enjoyable stay in this beautiful city.”
