KGSF in delighted to introduce the new international students who entered to KAIST in fall of this year. Nineteen international students from the KOICA program and 3 students from different countries arrived to Seoul to be part of the KAIST family. For us it is an honor to introduce some of them and present their backgrounds and their future expectations.

James Dawson Amoah (2016)
James Amoah comes from Ghana and joined the Finance MBA program this fall 2016 through the KOICA program. With a background in administration and accounting, Mr. Amoah has played an important role in preparing and presenting management reports and financial statements back home. His experience formulating and implementing accounting policies combined with financial strategies and plans was the stimulus for James to seek a program that can help him improve his abilities. For Mr. Amoah, “The Finance MBA program at KAIST is very rigorous and practical, and provides the fundamental analytical skills necessary for a successful career in the finance industry”. After graduation, James expect to return to his current government position in order to apply the knowledge and skills acquired at KAIST to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the finance department’s operations.

Charles Shin (2016)
With a Bachelor in Commerce Equity Derivatives Trade in Canada, Charles Shin joined the Finance MBA program this fall 2016. For Mr. Shin, KAIST is the most reputable school in Korea that provides a comprehensive finance program. After working in a Korean Investment Advisory company, Charles is convinced that the institution’s name will provide him with the foundation to work in the upper echelon finance institutions in Korea. It is important to mention that from his perspective, KAIST’s international KOICA students make studying at the school unique. Charles: “It is an institution that allows me to network with developing nation students who works in the public sector: Ministry of Finance and Central Bank. Such an opportunity is the recipe for a deep personal relationship forming a bedrock for the longevity of future endeavors; translating into cross-broader business transactions”.

Juan José Robalino (2016)
Guided by an entrepreneurial spirit, Juan José Robalino received a KAIST scholarship and joined the Finance MBA program this fall 2016. He founded two entrepreneurial companies in Ecuador, so he understands the need for practical knowledge to deal with different organizational problems that companies face. For him, the privilege of KAIST will ensure his success when he faces the challenges of professional life especially from a leadership position. His clear goal is to develop the derivatives market in Ecuador focusing on hedge risk as an important tool to improve the agricultural sector in his country. Juan José is taking advantage of specialized courses in the derivatives market and its operation through his Finance MBA program.

KGSF is pleased to receive wonderful new students this year.
