Prof. Song Chun Moon, a faculty of KAIST, participated in the Chunchon Marathon on Oct. 26th, 208 and donated about KRW 4,200,000 to the Marathon Organization Committee which he had fund-raised with the KAIST Student Council previously. This wonderful event, the "Race of Love - 2008" was well-harmonized with the blue sky of Chunchon city. Prof. Moon, who had run the whole distance of 42.195km since 1999, has attained his 10th Marathon running records in this event. By conducting "1m-KRW 10 campaign"Prof. Moon and his acquaintances has contributed about KRW 30,000,000 since 1999. And this time, he has planned to donate the fund on the purpose of helping the children of inveterate disease. Min Kyu Kim, the president of KAIST Student Council said, "We were able to learn a lesson which a great result can be derived from a great effort and this has encouraged most of KAIST students."Even if I could not compete my original goal of raising KRW 10,000,000, I feel very blessed that I have great people who have showed sincerity by chipping in, even in this difficult time only ",he said and showed a big smile.
