KAIST, Tsinghua Univ., and Keio Univ. proceed with a collabora..2013-07-12조회수:5591

(Daejon=Yonhap News) Reporter Park Jooyong = KAIST College of Business announced that KAIST invited MBA students from Tsinghua University in China and Keio University in Japan to carry out the joint research ‘CKJ(China-Korea-Japan) Global Management Strategy Field Trip’, on June 5.

The CKJ field trip is carried out as a part of the KAIST MBA class ‘Global Business Consulting’ which is also jointly opened at Tsinghua Univ. and Keio Univ.

The subject of the class is ‘Entertainment and Media Industries in Korea’ and it aims to produce future leaders who have better understanding of industries and culture in Korea, China, and Japan.

40 MBA students from the three universities will visit Korean major corporations such as CJ E&M, KT, NCsoft, SBS Contents Hub, CJ O shopping, and Golfzon, and then the students will proceed with the consulting projects to solve problems confronting those companies.

Besides, the MBA students will go on a field trip to the center for humanoid robot (i.e., Hubo laboratory) in Daejon KAIST campus and visit Gyeongbokgung (Palace) to experience Korean cutting-edge technology and traditional culture.

KAIST College of Business Professor Park Sung-Joo said overseas MBA students decided to visit Korea to study Korean entertainment and media industries that had grown up with Hallyu such as PSY’s Gangnam Style. KAIST will build up various cooperative systems including networks among enterprises in three countries through research cooperation between the three universities.

CKJ workshop is also held at KAIST College of Business from July 4 to July 6. Professors from the three countries, including the former Vice Dean of the Business School in Tsinghua Univ. Guoqing Chen and the Dean of the Business School in Keio Univ. Hirokazu Kono, have presentations and discussions about the theme “Asia Innovation Research”.
