Conspicuous pathway for small-budget investors to invest in high priced real estates will be available with blockchain technology.
Real estate ownerships are divided with digital securities and assures credibility between transaction parties with blockchain's trustworthy system.
On September 1st, blockchain IoT project Reapchain announced MOU with KAIST Bi SQUARE Lab for development of DABS, Digital Asset Backed Securities, distribution platform based on blockchain and preparation for its practical use.
Reapchain provides infrastructure for DABS distribution platform service and Bi SQUARE Lab provides advisory support for management and popularization.
DABS is known for securitizing rights or ownership of traditional assets such as fixed income, real estate, and artwork through blockchain technology.
It increases the creditability with transparent transactions and allowing audiences to easily participate in investing financial goods.
Chulho Lee, professor at KAIST BTM and the director of Bi SQUARE Lab, is currently on a research about development of blockchain financial business model and preparation for its practical use. Professor Lee's recent thesis on relationship between crypto currency and P2P loan market won the Best Paper Runner-up at INFORMS' e-business area.
Jake Lee, a co-CEO of Reapcahin, said that "blockchain technology accelerates asset digitalization which will become an unprecedented innovative business area."
He further mentioned that “security token solves illiquidity and expects to be a new standard type of financial transaction by providing more opportunities for individual investors."
