Mentorship Invitation Announcement 2006-09-13Hit:6970

Dear Kaist students, Hello. My name is John Yoon, Manager of Exchange Program. I am sure you are all under way in your new semesterare reacquainting with your classmates. In the same manner the International Center is looking to acquaint the new international students with the Kaist student body. The international center is looking for mentors who will assist the exchange students who have come to study at KGSM for the 2006 Fall term. We are looking for a few good menwomen. Perhaps this may be you? If you are interested in being a friend, someone who is reliable, dependable, helpfulfun-loving who enjoys teaching foreigners about living in Korea then you are just the person we are looking for. We expect you to be committed while they are here for the whole term to help them adjust to life in Korea such as helping them with their academic adjustments e.g. Helping them learn how to utilize the 교과과목 website, dorm life, social life (the most fun part) e.g. Drinking, traveling, hiking, etc.most importantly adjusting to Korea by learning the Korean languageculture. Professors Bowon Kim, Betty ChungI have decided to assign a number of KGSM students per exchange student. The number will depend on the number of replies I receive. I think this is a great opportunity to get to know another cultureto share your own. I hope to receive many enthusiastic repliespeople who will not phase out as the semester passes but people who will grow more strongly committed as the semester passes. Please respond as soon as possible since the exchange students are looking forward to meeting their mentors. Mentor’s will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. I look forward to hearing from many of you. Please fill out the attached formreturn it by emailalso one by hard copy to the international center on the 3rd floor of the Supex building (S321). Please find attached a list of the exchange students’ basic information.
